Educational Qualification
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Candidates appearing in their final year of graduation can apply but must submit proof of degree completion before the Mains exam.
Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject.
Age Limit (as of 1st January 2025)
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 37 years (General Category)
Relaxation:
SC/BC of Punjab – up to 42 years
Government employees – up to 45 years
Ex-servicemen – Age relaxation equal to service period + 3 years
Women (Widows, Divorcees) – up to 42 years
PwD (Punjab) – up to 47 years
DSP/Deputy Superintendent Jails – Maximum age is 28 years
Punjab PCS 2025 Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages:
Preliminary Exam: Screening test (Objective type, 400 marks)
Mains Exam: Written descriptive test (1500 marks)
Interview: Personality test (150 marks)
